Meet the Staff...

Nina Collins
Hello! I took up the post of Manager in April 2016 although I have worked with Fife Young Carers since October 2008 having previously held the Development Worker post. I am passionate about ensuring young carers in Fife can access the support which best suits their needs.
I provide support to the Fife Young Carers staff and also work closely with FYC's Management Committee, our local Young Carer's Strategy Group and at a national level with the Young Carers' Services Alliance.
I am based at our office in Lochgelly but really enjoy visiting the groups and spending time with young carers.
Susan De Swarte,
Hi! I'm Susan and I'm Fife Young Carers' Administrator, I started here in 2015 and my job is to keep everything running smoothly! Every day is different and sometimes I don't end up doing the things I'd planned to do for the day!
I'm usually the first person you'll hear on the phone, I work Monday to Friday from 10 am - 3pm (you can leave a message out with these hours). See the top of this the page for contact details.

Kay Kay Templeman,
Senior Support Worker, Glenrothes & Levenmouth
I have been a Support Worker for Young Carers since 2003, starting with only about 10 children and young people within the Levenmouth area. To date, I cover Levenmouth and Glenrothes, with a very busy bunch of 50 young carers, all ranging from 8 -18yrs!
Being a Senior Support Worker for FYC's is very varied and I enjoy time spent with the children and young people in all aspects.

There are never two days the same but, I wouldn't change that for the world....!

Sept 2008
Jordana Gold,
Support Worker, Cupar & North East Fife
I have worked with Fife Young Carers as a Sessional Worker since 2006; I very much enjoyed that role but am greatly looking forward to expanding this role further in my new post as Support Worker for Cupar and North East Fife. I have several years of youth work experience. I started doing youth work voluntary when I was in 1st year at school in 1993 and have continued working in a Youth Work setting alongside my studies and other jobs ever since, working with young people of varying ages ranging from 4 years old right up to young people of 18. I currently run one group each week alternating our Junior Group in Tayport and our Senior Group in Cupar with the sessions including issue based evenings, sporting activities, arts & crafts, outings and entertainment. My previous job was very much office based so this job allowing me to get out and about meeting lots of different Children & Families each week is a complete contrast to that and I am loving every second of it!
Oct 2010
Rose Davis,
Senior Support Worker ,West Fife & Kirkcaldy
Hi, I have been working for FYC for the last 5 years, previous to this I worked with groups of Young Carers as a Youth Worker.
I run groups in Inverkeithing and Kirkcaldy, where the young people can have time just to be themselves, have a laugh and not have to think about their responsibility's at home.
This also gives them time with peers who understand and can relate to any issues they may have around caring.I love the job I do, I get lots of positive feedback from the young people and their parents, it makes it all worthwhile.
