Our service provides support groups for children and young people, giving them respite from their caring roles, an opportunity to spend time with their peers and to experience new opportunities. Volunteers assist our Support and Sessional Workers to deliver our groups, at which we provide a range of activities from art and craft to cooking and sports activities. Groups are held in venues across Fife on a fortnightly or monthly basis in local community venues.
Volunteers are required to engage with activities at group, encouraging children and young people to take part whilst providing a listening ear.
Could you take young people from various parts of the area to groups for social activities after school, weekends or in the school holidays?
Young carers do not have the same opportunities as other young people due to their caring role. We are looking for Volunteer Drivers to give these Young Carers the opportunity to attend our group and social activities.
For more information on these opportunities email admin@fifeyoungcarers.co.uk or call our office.
